Six Pack Ab Workouts For Men That Really Works!
Do Abs-specific Exercises Lead to Six Pack Abs?

The most frequently-asked question I encounter in my daily work as a fitness coach is what are the best abs workouts for men. It is a universal belief that doing abs exercises makes you lose fat in the abdominal area. Regardless of sex, regardless of body structure, almost every one has excess fat in the belly. Fat simply has the propensity to settle in this locale and most of us clearly do not know how to get rid of this obstinate resident.
The trouble is that most of us are barking up the wrong tree. We are all looking for the best abdominal routines, the best combination of abdominal workouts, to get us our six pack quickly. And despite all our best efforts, the trim and lean belly escapes us.
What we fail to realize is that abs-centered exercises are unable to melt the fat off your abdomen. They serve only to condition the abdominal muscles which, being covered by the overlying fat, can neither be seen nor appreciated. What tummy fat loss calls for is a total body workout calculated to increase metabolism and elicit hormonal action to burn more fat.
Simple aerobic exercises will not result in either heightened metabolic rate or calorie-burning hormonal reaction. What is demanded is a well-rounded comprehensive training system which works out the whole body with strength training and multi-joint routines with an intensity which will significantly increase the heart rate. This type of exercises burns fat and indirectly works on the abdominal and core muscles to strengthen them.
This type of comprehensive high-intensity training program, coupled with a well-balanced nutritional program is the true solution to belly fat. It will result in tummy fat loss that not a thousand spot-reduction exercises like sit-ups or leg raises can ever hope to achieve.
It is remarkable though how many people still believe in spot-reducing exercises to get them their goal of six pack abs. Some fitness professionals still put their money on countless repetitions of abs-specific exercises. It is no wonder then that the gyms are packed with people carrying on with their routines without even coming the slightest bit close to a six pack.
Let me just set everybody straight. Abs-centered routines have their own merit. When executed properly, they help get you get a stronger back and the right posture. They help condition the abdominal muscles. However, they DO NOT burn the fat surrounding the belly which makes it impossible to get the six pack that you want. They are not the best abs workouts for men.
