Rally. Fiesta. Campaign.

June 10, 2009 Rally (Click image to view in full)

I am now thinking where to pass so I can go home tonight because there is a rally going on in Ayala Avenue while I am typing this blog entry.

I have seen this scenario for a number of times already since I started to work along Ayala Avenue…

Rally

There is a rally going on because there a lot (and I know it’s really a huge number) who is against con-ass or constitutional assembly. I know there are people down there who are really fighting for what they think is right, and what is good for the majority of the Filipinos.

Fiesta

Seeing the view from above is entertaining… People wearing same color of shirts, big posters and banners, playing band, parades, etc. If you are not aware that there is a rally, you might be thinking that there is some kind of fiesta or parade going on.

Campaign

I really find some personalities who will join the rally very plastic. I think that they have a hidden agenda why they will show up tonight, most especially if they are going to run in the 2010 elections.

Therefore, I can say that this is a colorful event – different personalities, different opinions, and different agenda.

Pens For Her Studies, Juices For Our Health

The weather since yesterday is quite confusing because the sun used to show and hide himself behind the clouds. Nevertheless, the weather has totally much improved compared to last week.

I actually hate it whenever I forget my earphones/headset at home because it means that I could not listen to my music playlist while going to or from work. I need to kill time whenever I am in the usual traffic, and listening to music is my way to do that.

Anyway, on my way to the bus stop yesterday, a young lady approached me telling that she is a part of a group of self-supporting students and that they are selling ballpens with calendars for 100 pesos. I suddenly remembered a same scenario back when I was in college. Since I was in a good mood yesterday, at the same time I had extra money on my pocket, I decided to buy one since I feel that the girl is sincere and honest. She was happy to tell me that she is already a graduating student from Philippine Normal University (PNU). She is taking up education. I remembered my aunt who is a teacher who graduated from PNU also that’s why I am actually happy that somehow, I’ve been able to give something to the girl that can help her in her studies.

Anyway, I’ve been drinking a lot of fruit juices lately with L-Carnitine (I’m avoiding to be fat again!), ad of course, with lots of vitamins. I am now trying “Envidia”, after Fit And Right, and Fab. Speaking of vitamins, we really need to drink lots of fruit juices for this can help our bodies fight the AH1N1 virus. Let’s all take good care of ourselves so that we can all surpass this health problem.

4. There is this very interesting website called Plinky (www.plinky.com), where they post a question/prompt everyday where the users can answer it and share their answers to everybody. I know bloggers out there will love that site.

5. The weather is really weird. We don’t know if it will rain or not. I just hate it that the sun didn’t show up last Saturday when I really wanted it to show up

6. Our office has started a campaign against influenza AH1N1 that’s why the poster as shown on the image below is almost everywhere.

Mobile Random Thoughts #1

Welcome to “Mobile Random Thoughts”, my new way of moblogging where I collect three random topics and post in to Rowjielogy via my mobile phone. Thanks to WordPress’ post via email feature and Sun Cellular’s 1 peso MMS.

1. Adam Lambert’s “Mad World” is being played over Magic 89.9 almost everyday during the program “Good Times With Mo, Mojo, and Grace Lee. I am thinking if Adam should’ve really won the recent American Idol. But still, I really like Kris Allen’s “No Boundaries”.

2. Is Facebook being used by some guys out there to come out of their closets? Well, possible. But anyway, I do believe that Facebook is now much better than Friendster.

3. If you come to pass by some (busy) roads in Bacoor, Cavite, you will be seeing some posters of Lani Mercado with the quote, “Pangalagaan Ang Ating Kalikasan. – Ate Lani”. Ate Lani?!? Yah, she’s running for congress in the 2010 elections.

Shuffled Open Views

Good day everybody and welcome to the newest edition of Rowjielogy, and I call it, “Shuffled Open Views”. I can actually consider this as a major blog reformat because I have decided to change the theme that I was using since year 2007. I have been on an unplanned blog leave for the past two weeks. Well, time really comes to me when I just suddenly lose interest in blogging for a while, but I know that it would be just a short period of time and I will be back again to what I love doing.

Well blog “reformats” for me are actually unplanned. It will just come whnever I feel like I want to. It depends on my mood. But I actually waited for this weekend before I “shuffle” my blog again for the nth time. It’s just natural for me to be in touch with mother nature when I feel lonely or when I want to refresh or recharge. Last May 1, me and my friends planned to have a summer getaway in Puerto Galera. The original date of the plan was May 23, but it was moved to May  30, and moved again to June 6.

Some of my friends backed out due to “acceptable” reasons until we were down to three. The weather for the past few days was actually cruel that made us decide to cancel the plan. And I am really really disappointed. Well, I don’t want to blame people nor the weather. I am just really upset and disappointed because our one month long plan did not turn out the way we want it to happen. Well, there’s always a “next time”. I hoped that it rained hard this morning just to compensate my disappointment, but it’s really funny that it turned out to be a sunny day.

Anyway, what’s the best way to release all these hard feelings? Eat a lot. We just decided to have a good dinner last Friday even though it was raining hard. Here are the foods that we ate.

Pizza Platter (Italianni's)

Pasta Platter (Italiannis)

Pasta Platter (Italianni's)

I actually hated Italianni’s when I first ate there but I got satisfied with what I ate last Friday night. Well, as what you can see in the pictures above, those were pretty much delicious. We ate while having a light conversation. We had coffee afterwards. Well, it’s a nice way to fill up all those disappointments.
