My Story

I suddenly remembered a blog entry I posted last July 2008 entitled, “Back To Back Inis Sa Imus” after I answered a foolish phone call at home last Saturday…

Caller: “Hello, pwede kay (my mother’s name)?”
Rowjie: “Ay, wala po siya eh (which is true). Sino po sila?”
Caller: “Tiga (I cannot remember what she said)… Wala ba akong pwedeng makausap dyan?”
Rowjie: “Ako po.”
Caller: “Sino ka ba? Ka-ano-ano ka ba niya?” (My temper started to rise…)
Rowjie: “Opo…”
Caller: “Nanalo kasi itong number niyo through an electronic raffle. So pwede po kayo manalo ng blender or… blah blah blah… May ballpen ka ba dyan? Ibibigay ko yung confirmation number…”
Rowjie: “Ah sige po, saglit lang po…”

I started to think that the caller might be from Home Sonic. I continued searching for a pen and paper.

I started to lose my patience… I started to shout since the caller said if I can’t make my voice louder.

Caller: “Ito po ang confirmation number…”

I wrote down the number she gave me.

And that’s how I ended our stupid conversation.

Again, this experience is a FACT. I wouldn’t waste my time inventing this story. But since this is true, I want to share it to others who might encounter the same situation as mine. This is the second time I had a stupid encounter with Home Sonic in Robinson’s Imus. The caller lacks courtesy… actually, all of them lacks courtesy. They are doing stupid ways to get customers.

So guys, beware of Home Sonic!

Warning: guys i had an unwanted phone call just few minutes ago… certain Sofia Diaz from PGU company said that they had an eloctronic raffle draw and my landline number was selected… she said that anytime i can claim my home appliance as my prize at Home Sonic near Rob Dep’t Store at Metropolis now Starmall.
i kept on asking her…if her call might be a scam because i was not expecting anything nor join any raffle draw. After we talked i immediately search the net and found out that it is really a “scam”… and they victimized people already… since then and up to now they are still at large.. internet is such a big help but still we need to be careful… Thank God I searched first before going there… please be careful you might encounter the same situation as mine.

Beware!! May nabiktima nanaman!!

me and my mom got scammed last sunday (jan 24) by arysta marketing at elizabeth mall here in cebu city.. they claimed we won some items and have to promote an item which we have to pay for P49, 000.00.. all the free items cost P175, 000.00 total so we thought it was really a bargain.. when we got home, I checked the internet for the prices of the items we won and found out they were actually cheaper than what we thought and they cost P49, 000.00 more or less so it was like we were paying for the items we allegedly won.. and I also found out that there were also other victims that experienced the same scam we had.. I hope they will stop this lie they term as marketing strategy because not only did they violated the consumer’s act but also broke our trust and confidence to their company as well.. my mom used her sister’s credit card to pay for the promoted item so we are still in the process of canceling the transaction..
