NOTE: This is already an edited version of this blog entry. I have already watched tonight’s episode of American Idol, and I am now ready to give my opinions.

It’s a “Dolly Parton” night in American Idol. So I am expecting country songs. Hmmm, I don’t like country music that much. Is this episode an advantage for Kristy? Well, no more Chikiezie Eze for tonight.

My impression of Dolly Parton’s music is more of country music. I am not a huge fan of country music, though I have tried listening to country music of LeAnne Rimes and Shania Twain.

Brooke White sang “Jolene”. I like it.

Carly Smithson sang “Here You Come Again”. I like it too.

David Archuleta sang “Smoky Mountain Memories”. I really think of him as an “inspirational” or “gospel” singer.

David Cook sang “Little Sparrow”. Maybe I expected more from him that’s why I was not that amazed with his performance. But it was good.

Jason Castro sang “Travellin’ Thru”. It was fine. MaybeI will ike his song if I listen to the full length version, just like with his version of If I Fell.

Kristy Lee Cook sang “Coat Of Many Colors”. She really sounds like a country singer. But I am not truly impressed.
Michael Johns sang “It’s All Wrong But It’s All Right”. Nice. I like him more than David Cookin tonight’s episode.

Ramiele Malubay sang “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind?”. Oh Ramiele… I am still not impressed. But I still hope that she can survive this week.

Syesha Mercado sang “I Will Always Love You”. Predictable. Typical. Nothing new.

Since there are only 9 contestants left, I am thinking if I should still give my top 3 and bottom 3 guesses or just give my personal rankings of the remaining 9 based on what I saw tonight.

Well, let’s wait for tomorrow if I will perfect the bottom three. Haha. But I think it’s a NO, because as we all know, David Archuleta has a lot of supporters.
