Jampacked Trip

TripTrip 11th Stop: It’s the first episode of Trip for the year 2008 and I really had lots of ideas in my mind for the past few days for this episode.

First of all, I want to thank Reyn of Reyn’s Room for featuring two of my previous blog entries in his blog entry entitled, “My Favorite Posts of My Blogger Friends”. He said that the following blog entries are some of his favorites:

Mga Pwede Pang Gawan Ng Remake Sa TV
(Topak #10 – November 20, 2007)

Love At First Sight
(Points of View Ep.6 – September 3, 2007)

Thank you very much Reyn! Last week also, Mr. Rob Ruiz tagged me. And as promised to him, I’ll be answering his tag questions.

Rules:

Each player of this game starts with 6 random things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in their blog their own 6 random things and state the rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. These 6 people will do the same thing.

Here it goes…

1. I am a very shy person.
2. I don’t like programming that much but I am a programmer(web developer).
3. I love colors, and I am really interested to study about them.
4. I am a very sensitive person.
5. I want to have a balanced time for everything – work, rest, friends, family, hobbies…
6. Right now, I just want to keep on learning and improving for the better.

I am sorry Rob, but I really don’t pass tag questions to anyone else. Haha. But I thing answering your tag is already enough. LOL.

Korean Food Trip

I am in the office right now that’s why I can’t provide images in this post. Haha. Anyway, you can still see the pictures in my Multiply site. Last January 13, 2008, my family ate at Chosun in SM Mall of Asia. It was a Korean food trip! And I was really satisfied with the foods that we ate. Two thumbs up!

Sound Trip

Lastly, let me share you some CDs that I have tried listening to lately.

  • Thor – Soul Obsessions: Duets With Thor

The idea behind this album is interesting. It is composed of revival songs sung by Thor with some of his favorite artists, that’s why it’s called “Duets With Thor”. This album is brought to us by Wave 89.1. And some of my personal favorites are: “Suddenly” duet with Jinky Vidal and “You Don’t Know Me” duet with Sofia.

  • Julia Duncan – The Love Lounge

Just like what I read in Sony BMG’s website, this is their answer to the Bossa Nova trend here in the Philippines, but of course, having the own style of Julia Duncan. I saw that she has her version of Swing Out Sister’s “Breakout” that’s why I tried listening to her. Her version is better compared to another bossa nova version of the song by a foreign artist. You might think that she is a foreign artist, but she isn’t.

  • Richard Poon – I’ll Take Care Of You

Richard Poon is the former vocalist of the band, U-Turn. I have read that he is now into jazz style of singing when he went solo. “I’ll Take Care Of You” is my favorite song that’s why I want to listen to different versions of this song, some of Filipino artists who have their version of this song are The Company and Sofia. He also has his version of “The Last Time”. Some of Filipino artists who also have this version are Joaqui and Dianne Elise. Another track that I like in his album is his jazz version of “Fallen”.

  • Soul In Love

I was curious about this album that’s why I decided to try listening into it. I was surprised to see a picture of Jay-R when I opened the CD case! It is Jay-R who sung all the songs in this album (not to mention that there is a free “The Body Shop” product when you buy the original CD. Hehe). The album is good. Jay-R’s style of singing really fit well in the songs in the album. Some of my personal favorites are: “You Make Me Feel Brand New”, “Always And Forever”, “Time Will Reveal”, “After The Love Has Gone”, “Sweet Love”, and “What You Won’t Do For Love”.
