My Life (ML)

January 6 – 12, 2008

It’s back to normal. Holiday season is over. What made it worse is that I have to come to work today. Anyway, I am able to adjust to my new environment little by little. Of course, I want to have good working relationships with my office mates, but it is true that “you cannot please everybody”. I really don’t want to judge people this early, but sometimes, it really makes me feel bad when their approach to me seems negative.

I hope they can read this. Yup. I am an IT graduate, and I am in the MIS department of the company. But I am a Web Developer. Not because I am in the MIS department, that means I would know all the answers to all their questions. I do admit that I only have basic knowledge on hardwares. That’s why I am more of a developer. I am not acting as a person who knows it all, so I hope they won’t expect me to be like that. For goodness sake, information technology is such a huge field. And you cannot expect a person to know everything about it all at once. So I don’t care what they’ll think about me. I am willing to help if they need it, just as long as I can, though it should really not be a part of my job as a web developer. I am a web developer. Period. Now, I wonder how this blog entry can reach their eyesights.

On a lighter note, I met some old schoolmates in the building where I am currently working. It’s so nice to see them after some period of time.

    ohh… it always happens. people in the new work environ can sometimes be unfair. it depends actually on the culture and the attitude of the workforce. and these depend on the management system a company has. but in the long run, situation will be lighter.

    just a tip: be forward by telling what you feel. just do it the nice way.
