My Thank Yous

Today, the whole nation will be celebrating “National Thank You Day”. Isn’t it so nice that at least we have this chance to say thank you to our family and friends? But of course, we can always say thank you to them anytime and any day!

As part of the National Thank You Day, I want to dedicate this post to all my loved ones.

Of course, I want to thank my parents – Daddy and Mommy. They raised me up to be the Rowjie who is posting this blog entry now. They gave me everything I need to live normally. They showed me unconditional love. I really hope that I can show them how grateful I am for all the things they have done to me.

Thank you also to my sisters – Ate, who supported and cared for me in any way they can – from our childhood days, up to now, where all of us are already working. I hope that our bonding won’t change in the more years to come.

Thanks you also to my grandparents – Nanay, Inang, and Tatang, who have been my second parents. To my Lolo, wherever you are, I hope you are happy right now… I remember the times when we share a piece of bread, then we’ll dip it into a cold coffee. You were also my barber whenever I need to have a haircut… Thank you to my Tita Carol, our guardian whenever our parents are not around. Thank you also to my aunties, uncles, and cousins. Tita Edna, Tito Pepe and Tito Beto, I hope you are happy right now, wherever you are…

Thank you St. Michael’s Institute for educating me when I was in Prep/Kinder 2. Thank you to Mrs. De Castro, our class adviser, and to Mrs. Samoy, who tutored me back then.

Thank you to my beloved St. Andrew’s School… I spent 10 wonderful years there. Thanks for the education and experience I gained there. Thank you to the principals when we were studying there – Mr. Emeterio Allanigue, during our high school days, and Mrs. Lourdes De Leon – you will always be remembered…

To my dearest class advisers who served as our second parents – Mrs. Jesusa Miranda, Ms. Edna Saracho, Mrs. Josie Domingo, Mrs. Carmelita Santos, Mrs. Gloria Buslay-Mercado, Mrs. Claire Yangco, Mrs. Alicia Cruz, and Mr. Leo Mascariñas. To Mrs. Ameur Andrade, thanks for the times we spent with you. I hope you are happy wherever you are right now.

To our other teachers – Ms. Gie Teodoro, Ms. Everlyn Gray, Ms. Nette Pascual, and others. (Too many to mention! Hehe). Thanks so much because you’ve also been friends to us.

To the Eucharistic Crusaders and Student Catholic Action. Thanks very much…

To the St. Andrew’s School staff, thanks very much also.

And now, my dearest friends… Hehe. To Jessley Bañas, one of my first friends in St. Andrew’s School, thank you very much for everything. I hope for your continuous success. I hope to see you soon!

To Albert Ibuyan, thank you so much. We may not communicate that often, but deep inside my heart, you are one of my closest friends.

To Jay-Ar Cruz, my best friend when we were in elementary, thank you so much for everything. I remember when we were still young, when we would play in your house. Hehe. I will not forget those times. It’s in your house where I first ate Buko Pandan. Hehe. There were times when we misunderstood each other, but I am happy that we surpassed it all. And we are still here, good friends after all.

To JohnJan Felix, thank you for everything. We were together from our early elementary days up to our college days. Hehe. You are one of the people who really knows me inside and outside. I will not forget the times when we will spend lot of hours in the mall to kill time. Haha. Thanks for sharing your talent in graphics design… and for sharing mp3s and videos to us. Hehehe.

To Rovy Bautista, I know that we had a lot of misunderstanding before but look at us now. Our friendship grew stronger. Thank you because I know you are my friend whom I can always talk to whenever I have problems. You are always there to understand and to give friendly advices.

To Kim Ramos, thank you for your foolishness. Hehe. I mean, for your jokes which make the group laugh. I know that deep inside of you, you are a very good person, and that’s what I am thankful for. I will not forget one time when we went to your house. You cooked your “special sinangag” composed of egg, hotdog, pepper, etc. Hehe. That’s one of the best sinangag I ever tasted!

To James Fajardo, thank you for making us laugh with your unique laugh. Hehe. Thank you because whenever we are talking about serious things, I know you are someone who is dependable. You’re like a child to us that’s why we don’t want to see you get hurt. Hehe. That’s why you should always take good care of yourself.

To Carlo Quintero, thank you for letting us copy your assignments back then. Hehe. Joke! Thank you because you’re such a wonderful and down to earth person. I admire you for being the person you are. Just keep it up and I know God will bless you.

To Justine Bautista, thank you for the friendship and for your kindness. Things may not had been good in the past, but I am looking forward for a stronger and better friendship with you.

To Paul Balon, we may not had spent lots of years together but I want to thank you for being a good friend to me.

To Warren Vidar, thank you for letting me to be your friend. I hope that time allowed us to know each other more. But nevertheless, I want to thank you for being kind to me.

Thank you also to Ralph Espiritu, Danilo Aquino, and Christian Gabrinao, who had been closed to me at some points in our elementary days.

To Charles Torres and Lee Ramirez, thank you. I will not forget our first year high school days. Hehe… Charles, thanks also for everything back in high school and college!

To Ericson Sañez, thank you for being a kind bus mate when we were in high school. Hehe. I will not forget the times when we would help out each other. You will always be a good friend to me.

To Jaypee Lunas, we may not talk anymore but still I want to thank you for letting me know you better. Thank you for being kind and understanding to me. I’ll always be here for you whenever you need someone to talk to.

To all who had been my classmates, thank you also. Without all of you guys, I cannot say that life in St. Andrew’s is wonderful. Thank you Marti, Flawrhence, Oñat, Marco, Jeffy, Danci, and everyone else.
